Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Location: Fargo, North Dakota

Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:

Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and toileting.
Help patients with mobility, including moving in and out of beds, chairs, and wheelchairs.
Provide support and physical assistance during ambulation and exercises.

Monitoring Health:

Measure and record patients' vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rate.
Observe and report changes in patients' condition to nursing staff.
Assist with routine tests and collect specimens as directed.

Personal Care:

Assist patients with personal hygiene tasks, including oral care, skin care, and hair care.
Ensure patients are comfortable and their personal needs are met.
Change bed linens and maintain a clean and organized patient environment.

Support Services:

Assist with feeding patients who need help and ensure they receive adequate nutrition and hydration.
Transport patients to different areas within the facility as needed.
Help set up and maintain medical equipment and supplies.

Documentation:

Accurately record care provided and patients' responses in the medical records.
Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation according to facility policies and procedures.

Safety and Infection Control:

Follow infection control procedures to maintain a safe and clean environment.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.

Emotional and Social Support:

Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Promote a positive, respectful, and supportive environment.

Qualifications:
Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
Licensure:

Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of employment.
Experience:

Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
Experience in [specific department or specialty] is a plus.

Skills:

Basic understanding of medical terminology and patient care procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
Proficient in basic computer skills and documentation.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move patients as necessary.
Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and bending.
Manual dexterity to perform CNA tasks and operate equipment.
Ability to handle stress and work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment:
Work may be performed in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and patients' homes.
Exposure to infectious diseases and hazardous materials.
May require working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
