Your responsibilities may include:

  • Daily Living Skills: Help clients learn or maintain skills like cooking, cleaning, dressing, and budgeting.

  • Community Integration: Support outings to parks, stores, or events to build social skills and confidence in public settings.

  • Personalized Goals: Work with care plans that include specific, measurable goals tailored to the client’s abilities and interests.

  • Positive Reinforcement: Encourage progress with patience and celebrate milestones—no matter how small.

  • Behavioral Support: Understand behavior intervention plans and respond calmly to challenging behaviors, using de-escalation techniques when needed.

Documentation is key—record activities, behaviors, and progress consistently. Most importantly, treat each client with dignity, promoting self-advocacy and personal choice in daily decisions.
